Good Luck to Winged Victory at the Southern Uni Games!
4 July 2014

The University of Melbourne’s Winged Victory team is sending 151 Student-Athletes to compete at the Southern University Games, beginning this coming Sunday 6 July in Wodonga.

Winged Victory will have teams competing in Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Cheerleading, Women’s and Mixed Netball, Tennis, Touch, Ultimate and Women’s Volleyball.

“The SUGs are a participation focused event for Winged Victory, as they lay the platform for the Australian University Games later in the year”, said Thomas Lutwyche, SUG Team Manager and Sport coordinator. “Teams use it as an opportunity for talented athletes to prove themselves on a regional level”.

Winged Victory will be looking to consolidate on a strong performance at last years SUGs, where the team won 4 gold medals and numerous podium finishes.
